ELECTRICITY & ELECTRONICS IN VEHICLES TRAINING STATION

This system is based on parts of a Volkswagen electrical and electronic system and shows, among other things, the structure of the lighting system, wipers, starting system, charging system and ignition system as well as instrumentation.

The system contains an ECU.

The generator is driven by a 3-phase motor

Supplied with the possibility of  dash simulation of vehicle speed, coolant temperature, oil pressure and fuel level on the instrument cluster.

Equipped with a standard OBD diagnostic socket for system diagnostics.

The vehicle’s wiring harness has been modified and equipped with 4mm banana contacts and 4mm measuring sockets. This means that the recovery time between students’ different exercises is shorter and the user can easily connect and unplug wires and components as well as make measurements around the system using a digital multimeter.

The system is pedagogically clear and allows the student or teacher to build up the system piece by piece according to the circuit diagram with connections of the contacts. It is also possible to easily show what happens when an interruption occurs, by disconnecting a circuit or component. If you want to learn how to make your own connectors, this system is an easy way to try out your own connectors and skills.

The training station is also equipped with a hidden fault insertion system with 12 fault, for troubleshooting exercises or teaching.

Through practical exercises and demonstrations, students acquire an understanding of the basics of electrical circuit theory that is key to developing good troubleshooting techniques. .

This resource comes with a printed exercise book containing practical tasks and activities.

The components of the training station are mounted flat on a table with a wheel stand and can easily be moved around the room. The station is not based on a CANBUS or Linbus network

The following vehicle circuits with their components in the system are included:

  • Start Charging Ignition
  • Lighting
  • Wipers
  • Instrumentation
  • Horn
  • ECU
